“Inside Out 2” follows the life of Riley Anderson, a 13-year-old girl who is about to enter high school. As Riley goes through puberty, her emotional and mental state starts to change, affecting her choices and thoughts. As audiences, we will see how different emotions in Riley form who she is. There are good and bad memories, but even the ones we want to forget about shape who we are.

I think I liked the first movie of “Inside Out” more since it dives into the lives of the “emotions” living in Riley much deeper, in my opinion. In “Inside Out 2,” the main (emotion) characters are Joy and Anxiety. However, as someone who often doesn’t think much ahead, Anxiety stresses me out SOOOOO MUCH.

While I was watching this movie, the whole time I was just like, “WHY” or “Oh my god, I’m so scared”—because of the decisions Anxiety makes. However, in the second season, we get to see the stresses that Joy has to go through, her feelings, and her thoughts. Moreover, there are new emotions introduced in this season, which is very exciting!!!

Overall, it’s not bad, but it’s also not that memorable in my mind. I did cry, but it was just three drops of tears sliding down my face.

It was a non-disappointing sequel to “Inside Out,” but it wasn’t a spectacular movie either. So, I rated it 3 stars since it wasn’t that special.
